Save your money!

If you already own/read The 100, save your money and skip this. I was excited that this was a whole new program, but to me it's just a rewritten The 100. Other than a couple of updates to the "free" foods and some rewritten daily meal plans, at the end of the day, it's The 100. I recently purchased the updated The 100 (from 2015) and 2 months later, I feel as if I have basically bought the same book. This is the last Jorge Cruise book I will buy...I'm tired of shelling out money for basically the same thing with a few minor changes.

Nothing New Here/

Nothing new if you have read his recent books. . The affirmations are like the ones you get on any inspirational calendar, ranging from Helen Keller to Tony Robbins. Some recipes are together and some are in the daily sections. The recipes all look delicious but why can't they all be together, along with the affirmations? The formatting is like his other books, terrible and all over the map. I don't like that he does not give portion sizes on the freebie list or nutrition info for the recipes. Eating till satisfied , is often hard for people who are overweight to be able to gauge . I have read his other books and have had that same complaint. I naïvely thought this book would be different, since, who would have the nerve to just write a re-hash of other books, throw in some lame affirmations and market it as something groundbreaking and new? If you want an intelligent read about the effects of stress on weight loss, get the Haley Pomroy books, The Burn and The Fast Metabolism Diet. You may not want to follow the plans but you can at least get knowledge regarding stress/cortisol etc. and how everything comes into play. Too many recommended supplements and his brand of protein powder sounds like the JJ Virgin non vegan protein powder. Also, so many colors and fonts and glossy paper in this and his other recent books, I guess to detract from the lack of content. I'm not a child, I can read a book without colored glossy pages and different fonts. Check it out from the library before you buy it. I wish I would have.
